It also has an extensive collection of CDs and DVDs available for check out and a growing collection of electronic books and magazines and audio books. If it’s not at the hometown library, people who live in Collierville can request books from nearby Germantown or get them through the interlibrary loan system.

People of All Ages Who Live in Collierville Have Fun at the Library

The library hosts many events throughout the week. Young children are encouraged in a love of books during storytimes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The very youngest children, up to age 18 months, can attend Babygarten, and enjoy songs and stories. A teen book club meets monthly at the Collierville property. Children’s theater productions are held on weekends. Come on Sunday, April 10th, from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. for Bright Star Theater’s performance of Upcycled Cinderella Classes for adults, to help them gain confidence with digital technology are held regularly. Registration for a digital photography class opens on April 9th, with the class to be held on April 23rd. Support the library by getting involved with the Friends of the Library and come to the book sale on Thursday April 7th through Saturday April 9th.

The library is open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Visit the Collierville Library to learn more.

Explore Mud Island River Park near Memphis Homes

This year, the festival will run from March 31st through April 3rd. There are so many great shows, it’s hard to choose which to attend. On Thursday evening, try an improv workshop with Chris Trew, then sign up for the P and H Open Mic. For Friday, get tickets for the Stand-up Showdown, a competition between comedians to see who can come up with the best routine on a topic they receive at noon of the day of the show.

See Beautiful Asian and Judaic Art on Memphis Property

Memphis property owners go to the Belz Museum.All Memphis property owners are invited to come experience some beautiful and unique art at the Belz Museum of Asian and Judaic Art. This facility houses the biggest collection of Chinese art available in the South. Many of the artifacts come from the Qing dynasty in power from 1644-1911, but this Chinese collection does have items from as early as 202 BC and as late as the early 20th century. Guests can view items such as carved jades, sculptures, paintings, funeral art, and ceramics. The Judaica collection features many of Israel’s contemporary artists with a very large collection from Daniel Kafri. Guests can view 32 bronze relief sculptures, which Kafri has made in an effort to illustrate the Bible. Many other pieces relating to Judaism are available to view as well.

Admission prices are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $4 for students. Children under 5 are free and group rates are also available.
